Who here is going to buy Lord of the Rings : The Battle For Middle Earth 2

Just trying to figure out what my next game is going to be and stumbled across this game on gamespot. It looks great! Kind of reminds me of some of the old warcraft games. Did anyone here play the first one?

I thought the first one was one of the worst RTS games I've ever played- If it didn't have the LOTR liscence, it wouldn't have sold more than 30,000 copies.

i really liked BFME 1. i played it all the time online...although i can see how you wouldnt like it if you sucked at difficult games. the learning curve was high for sure and learning how to counter all of the other armies was sometimes very hard. dont be bitter because you couldnt figure it out.

I enjoyed the first BFME's single player campaign quite a bit. It had an epic feeling and the battles were a lot of fun. So I am deffinitely going to buy this one if only for the SP.

BFME 1 had and still has many issues as far as balance goes. BFME 2 should be a patch for BFME 1, but EA is a company that likes you to pay for games in Beta then sell you the patches (I.E. Earth and Beyond is a prime example of a game being released to early). If you ever played in Clan Wars with BFME you would know about the balance issues that have been talked about being fixed since June of 2005, yet no patch yet? I bought Battlefield 2, but the game has constant crashes and server disconnects and I can't figure out why. BFME 2 also is going to make you buy the collectors edition if you want to use the dragon hero (sounds like a scam to just make more money to me). Sorry for the rant, but I played this game in Clan Wars with the best people and there are just some battles on certain maps that were impossible to win unless you were a certain faction because of the balance issues.

BFME 1 never struck me as a competitive well balanced multiplayer RTS....

Never played the first, but I might buy this one just because its actually on the 360... way too few strategy games on consoles

I played the first, and i liked the single player campaign. However, multiplayer wasn't that great and it was also unbalanced. I didn't find it hard at all though like Big said...

It was actually relatively easy.
