Yep, I'm dreading class. Especially since I have a stupid Circuits exam tomorrow. Why dosen't the prof understand that I'm a senior and I don't care about stupid EE classes!?

How did you have a 3-day weekend????

In middle school (and a little bit high school, but mostly middle) I used to dread going to school. Despite the fact that I excelled at school, I hated it.
Worse, I dreaded it.

There's few emotions I've found I dislike more than dread. One of those things I never want to have to live with again.

Probably one reason why you'll never see me back in school again -- or at least if I take them, I'll audit them..

Wow, that seems kinda strange. I used to love going to middle school/high school. It was like a big party everyday with all your friends. The courses were always easy(except for AP Calc), and you could have a lot of fun getting in trouble. Now that I'm in college classes are tough, and everyone is so serious:( I have senioritis big time right now though, so I haven't been going to class all that much anyway.

I am dreading the next two weeks of school. 2 Quantitative business analysis projects to finish, 1 15 page paper to write (5 done), 1 group project to finish with presentation on it tomorrow, 1 programming project to finish that hopefully my teammates are doing (i did the interface, they are doing the rest), a stupid research proposol for a general ed geology class I am taking. Then finals next week.

Nothing to worry about work though, just a normal workday. Only problem is, it gets in the way of my school stuff the next few weeks.

I worked 10 hours this weekend and expect to be working 10 hour days for the next two weeks or so. I might get lucky and get the two days off for Christmas. My boss is giving me a special exemption so I can carry over four weeks of vacation because I havn't been able to take them off this fall as I had planned.

So here i sit at 12:30, can't sleep and really need to.

Both middle and high just felt like such a waste of time to me. I couldn't stand being put into a jail and being forced to do tedious busy work all day, at the exclusion of actually learning something. I could feel each day of my life wasting away.

My high school was very very difficult, in the sense that they gave us a huge workload (that wasn't easy to blaze through).

In middle school, yeah I could hang out with friends, but you get to hangout for like 1 hour tops a day, and it takes 8 hours out of your day.
In high school, any hanging out with friends had to be done at the expense of grades- - they provided enough homework that you essentially only had time to travel, eat and sleep if you still wanted to get everything done (and I was pretty quick).

I think it could have been a very very different experience if (1) I wasn't made to do busy work, just ensure that I have learned it and can pass the tests, (2) had greater selection of courses and teachers.

The only time after 3rd grade that I really *liked* school was during summer school before freshman year of high school. It was mandatory for all incoming freshmen. Anyway, it was from 8am - noon. Perfect. We had two classes, so we had time to actually get into stuff. We had good teachers. We could focus and learn something and the focus was on learning not on 'keeping us busy'. And more importantly, we got out early enough that you felt you still had the day to spend with your friends. Best of both words.

Don't remind me. 3 final tomorrow, one Thursday. Work for me is a break compared to school. I wish i could work more. Besides, I could use the money.
