I played it when Steam was in Beta.
The shield is really horrible, I can't rush anymore with ak.
The whole gameplay changed.

I played it and I still suck. The shield does kinda suck there should be some kind of limit to them.

I play it, I like it.

I'm pretty sure they'll mitigate the power of the shield eventually.

Lotsa whiners playin now complaining about every single damn thing that changed. Just like everytime they release a new version.

I had fun playing it yesterday.

I was in first place on the terrorist team while my entire team was bitching about the shield. Every 3 minutes it was "YEA KEEP USING SHIELDS NEWBIE CTS, THEY ARE BANNED IN CAL" and crap like that.

So after being terrorist for a few maps, I went ct and had fun with the shield. It makes an awesome scout. IE, you can have 2 guys with shields run up the front and inform the team of whether there are any dangers. Sort of like in real life if you had a riotsquad.

So, I have mixed feelings on the riot shield. But I love the way steam is built in.

I reinstalled Steam and now it works flawlessly.

The shield is nice but sometimes it is a bit too powerful.

i've been playing it since the day it came out. i had a few problems at first but haven't had any sense

(unless you count the number of exploits with the shield)

 

1.6 sucks, im glad i left CAL-M, damn game...........

thats a hell no

i can name at least 10 things off hand that are no where near realistic in that game

its still just a game the play has changed some though with the addition of shield but i think it adds a bit of a new dynamic so Ts can't just sit at a base camping.....i find it amusing just for the sole purpose of being able to knife people better :-D

only n00bs that suck at the game complain about the AWP. giving someone access to a shield where you can shoot the person but can't be touched at all (thanks to lovely bugs in the game) is crap. that is what the *smart* competitive leagues have banned use of the shield in competition.

Shield and AWP still blow hard though.
