Not me, the bus is too slow and I don't want to stand at the bus stop.

I only live about 4 miles from work, about 15 minutes of driving with all the traffic.

During the winter I take the bus to and from work every day! In the summer, I either bike or drive. I limit myself to one tank of gas a month, so I try not to drive too much.

The reason for the change of mode of transport is the busses stop going by my house in the summer!

lol that's 16 miles an hour. That's the speed I average on my bike, and I'm in terrible shape.

I thought BART was pretty good over there? I don't know though I've never used it.

BART is good, if you're looking to go from say Berkeley to SF, or Fremont to Oakland, or from one say Embarcadero to Glen Park in SF. But if you're looking to get around each city it isn't great. It mainly runs through each city instead of spider webbing around like some other major transit systems. So you'd really need to use a combo of BART and bus.

Grass is always greener on the other side.

When I take the T, I always wish I had taken my car. When I take my car, i always wish I had taken the T.

But yeah, The T in Boston is good as long as you avoid certain bus lines and the green line (especially the E and D line).

Ha! The entire green line is shit after it splits at Kenmore. I hate the green line.

Well, you have to remember that I work in the downtown area and there are a lot of traffic in the morning and afternoon in that area (I am very much stuck at the last mile or so). Don't forget that I also live in the South and it has been over 100 degree and higher for the last few days. Not sure I want to go in my office with sweaty shirt, pants, and dirty tie.

Another thing, not sure about how bad drivers in your area but around here, I would not drive a bike or a motorbike along side with those morons (cellphone, careless lane changing, make up, you name it).

I considered public transit for part of my trip to SF this morning. I'd have had to drive about 55 miles each way to the Dublin station, then catch the BART into SF

Heh, I know your rough area. Is it getting hot enough yet? 96 here yesterday.
