Ahmen lola, i usually change jobs once a year, because around the 6 month mark i find myself learning all i need to know and then every day is just the same thing just going along. The only downside is when you look at my resume the last 4 companies i have worked for out of college. my start date and finish date are almost 12 months to the day (never been fired). I need to show I can stay at a company on my resume.

*I had to add this in*
"Don't you see what it's like in this deranged whirring blender of a world? Everyday is an agonizing ordeal, like balancing a pot of scalding water on your head while people whip your legs and butt (eh, you never forget your senior prom). You think I'm sick? Well the only disease I've got is modern life, a shnaug busting gauntlet of inefficiency and misery, that's one long parade of let downs, put downs, trickle downs, shut outs, freeze outs, sell outs, numb-nuts, nincompoops, and nimrods. All making everyday about as fun as waxing a flaming Pontiac with you tongue, where even if you do look into the possibility of some fleeting pleasure, like say, if some nymphomaniac telephone operator with the muscle control of a Romanian madslapper agrees to a little strip air hockey, it'll be over before it starts. Because some foul smelling, feathery, cab-jockey slams his checker up your hatchback, and the cab is owned by some Piñata spanker from a Santa Rio cult in Walculpa who starts shaking chicken bones at you and gives you a boil on your neck so big, all it needs is Michael Jordan's autograph to make it complete. And even with all this, with all this, I still drag my sorry butt off the ceiling every morning and stick my face in the reaping machine for one more day, knowing when it's time to flash the cosmic car keys at those pearly gates, I won't be in a coffin anyway because some under handed, undertaker sold my heart, pancreas and other assorted good and plenty to that same Santa Rio cult! So does anybody really wonder why anybody is hanging on to sanity by the atoms on the tips of their fingernails, while life dirty dances on the digits, and is it really any wonder WHY I SEEM DERANGED?!" -- Duckman

I like my job. Intern/co-ops FTW. 2x the pay as what I earned after 3 years at my other job. And of course the whole part about getting good experience and for the resume. Rarely am I very busy or pressured to get stuff done. And I only have 1.5 weeks left. :D

In any case, I disliked my job because I did absolutely mindless grunt work for 8 weeks. The only thing that saved me was ATOT, and that's a bit evident from my post count
You're in HS, what do you expect to do? Just about every kid is gonna do crap for their first few jobs. And how the hell did you get any work done with the amount of time you spent posting garbage on here?

Still in school, but I'm working as an assistant in a brokerage firm. I can honestly say I never want to have one of their jobs, because it's the same stuff over and over again. No excitement whatsoever. I'm only working here as a means to make rent, and 15 an hour is hard to argue with, especially a college guy who has no office exp. whatsoever (gotta love those temp agencies...get you into jobs that you couldnt normally without experience).

i cant wait to start school again in september. obviously im studying stuctural engineering, and it's pretty fvcking fascinating. ill never be doing the same project twice, so the dynamics of the field are great.

i spent pretty much the entire time before now putting together what is called a pib, or public information book. the most mind numbing experience ever. i only would wish that process on my worst enemies. *sigh*

i think it's sad that i cross my fingers and hope to get out of work before 12am everyday.

i'm an accountant.. very secure job, avg pay, but boringest work ever.. tasks repeat daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly - little recognition, drone-like work, slow advancement, long hours sometimes

thats why.. i'm moving on before i get stuck doing this for the rest of my life

Man..I thought hating your job wasn't normal. I guess everyone feels the same way. I start to think is this what a waste of life? 10hr days at work and go home relax and back to the same o' thing. If you can find something that will be more fulfilling and take a pay cut I say do it. We work so hard for money and we use the money to have a nicer car to drive to work, aint that appealing to me.

I want to open my own tennis pro shop and enjoy the sport. Coach kids on the side and be your own boss. Currently I'm a System Analyst for a big corp. I feel I have a low roof on my head every single day when I come in.

oh money still matters a great deal. afterall, they pay you this much because someone has to do this job. and don't call me a twat.

<chuckle> I absolutely HATE it most days, because of two or three of my coworkers. Today, though, I loved it, because there were a lot of people across the state listening to my every word. ;)

I want to get a job where I can sit on my ass for a living. I think that would be grand.

I love my job. It's the first IT job where I've ever gotten to spend days on the lake wakeboarding and get paid for it.

Why would you hate the opportunity to learn something new? I say you truly don't hate a job until you know everything there is to know about it, and you no longer can improve yourself.
