I opened for The Who at Madison Square Garden in 1979. That was cool.

More details :)

I know a few guys that "made it".

One friend was in InHouse and opened for Lillith Fair back in the day at a few locations.

Another few friends started a band called L.U.N.G.S. (Losers Usually Never Get Signed) and opened for bands like House of Pain, Smashing Pumpkins, Cypress Hill and Limp Bizkit actually opened for them.

While they've made huge advances in anesthesia it's often more dangerous than the surgery itself. For my shoulder surgery they chose to keep me awake with just local anesthetic and enough happy meds to make it so I didn't care.

QFT...in most surgery the anesthesia is the highest risk area. With cosmetic surgery being taken as easy as manicures, people are finding out that risk. It's no fault of the guy running the gas 9 times out of 10.

Worked for a "large software company" in Redmond, WA for over a decade prior to having to go on disability due to injury. Miss it everyday.

What "product" did you work on?

Remember the old force feedback joystick, the first one? Also the first steering wheel and some other like products. This is back when gameports were used, which were an incredible PIA. After about two years of that, worked on Win2K, XP, Vista.

Dabbled a bit with the Windows team myself. Good stuff :)

I wish I had a cool job. I'm a respiratory therapist and RT supervisor at a small rural hospital. Pretty boring for the most part. My dad used to have cool jobs though. When I was a kid, he worked for a big video distributor so we got tons of screeners and movie promo items. A few years after he left that job he was CFO of a small frozen yogurt company. We got a yogurt machine in our house and Phoenix Suns season tickets.

Used to do field testing of the Bradley among other vehicles. Also got to ride around in the M8 AGS a bit (bonus points if you know what it is).

I manage a team of aircraft maintenance folks who work on UAVs or RPAs as they are called now for the Air Force.
