Well I think I have... maybe once or twice... you gotta squint your eyes and shake your head really hard to see it.

Actually I have seen the result of it. The limit of the horizon is around 26 miles (relatively flat ground) due to the curvature of the Earth. I can look from the South side of Lake Ontario and see only the tops of the tallest buildings in Toronto, with the naked eye. The lake is roughly 20-24 miles across at this point. It is a pretty neat site.
When jumping out of a plane at ~14,000 feet you definitely see that the curvature of the Earth is a lie.
