Pibb Extra?

I find this weird because they do not sell this by me. I was home in Houston for the past week and they sell Pibb Extra and they only sell 20 packs of Soda. What happened to a case of 24?
 
i really dont know, but they dont sell Mr. Pibb down there. instead it was that Pibb Extra. i didnt drink any cause i was afraid of it

On June 26, 2001, The Coca Cola Company introduced a new version of Mr. PiBB into several Texas test-markets, including Houston and Dallas. Several months later, Pibb Xtra made its way into other states, namely Kansas and Missouri.

The new brand is currently in an experimental phase in a limited geographic region and has not yet permanently replaced the original Mr. PiBB formula. Pibb Xtra is not a diet beverage, nor does it contain any additional caffeine or sugar; it is simply a new flavor.

It is assumed that depending on consumer response to the product in Texas, Pibb Xtra will either replace the original Mr. PiBB nationwide or be taken off shelves altogether, similar to the "New Coke" situation of the 1980's. The experiment's length of time is uncertain.

Pibb Xtra is available in 12oz aluminum cans (singles, 4-packs and 15-packs), .5 litre PET plastic bottles (6-packs), 20oz PET plastic bottles, 1 litre PET plastic bottles and 2 litre PET plastic bottles.

my mom bought them in 20 packs. she also told me that all soda is sold in no greater than 20 packs of 12oz cans. any reason why they dont sell 24 packs (a true case)?

I'm in Houston right now, and I just bought a "case" (24 cans) of soda from the local grocery store. (Krogers) And Pibb Extra is okay, but I prefer Dr. Pepper. 😉 🙂
