Rubycon.

The forum doesn't show (mods/admins) as banned.
However someone (you know who you are!) has set something called frustration options where it makes a user attempt to sign in or use forum function so slow that they give up or the browser times out.
She wasn't banned.

Read again.
Think of it as being blocked from the internet completely vs. having a connection but throttled to 8kb/sec. ;)

Not that it matters what's been happening in the world. :(

I remember someone getting banned for saying the name of a banned person, not sure who it was anymore.
I guess that's a good example of just ban.

Although that banned person had doxxed himself already with his posting of massive amounts of private information including job, family, cats, real estate financials, location.

Not sure I'd agree about the 'just' portion, but I guess it's subjective.

I don't even know what Spidey's last straw that broke the camel's back was, but I've not missed him, lol.

Sidenotequestion: can you make the murloc sound? Or does the cat do that?

hmm, ya, I vaguely recall such a rule, but don't recall which name(s) it was.

idk, if someone never posted his name and surname on an anonymous place like an internet forum, I don't think it's fair for other people to violate that prerogative, especially if that person has left a compromising posting history on it. Not everyone is smart enough to avoid posting stuff that can come back and bite you in the ass. Not doxxing them and mods cleaning up after banning them is just nice.

I don't even know if it was a permaban anyway.

IIRC spidey said something about race wars or something really racist about Obama. Of course he said that kind of thing a lot so not sure when he went over the line.

Reading again just made it make even less sense.

I was banned for 2-3 years. One of the mods was being a douchebag in a thread, I called him out on it, and he banned me. Now he's gone (hopefully) forever, and ATOT is a better place as a result.

there have been many, and I don't recall the usernames. One guy was a helicopter pilot ( supposedly) who started out in OT then started ripping off people in FS/FT.
Lots of trolls and spammers are shown the door right away.
Grasshopper, I think.

Casiotech was such a diva, His expensive jeans threads were hilarious.

Texmaster was a lying, vindictive, douche. He embodied small pen0r energy more than anyone except maybe Alky.

Black inches was righteously banned, but I personally would have kept him around for the lulz.

Loki (sic?) If you have been here a while you should definitely be familiar with his infamous deed.

Jerboy, what an annoying, whiney, child. I forgive him all his trespasses because the scroll is truly epic.

Nik had no filter, even online where you can premeditate every reply. Or perhaps, even more concerning, all of those responses were after he filtered them.

Mosh was another one, saltier than the dead sea. Defiant about any attempt to tone her act down a bit. I think she started the fedora thing here?

There are a few still around that would have been permabanned before the détente years began.

there was another poster but I forgot his name. He would quote your post and then substitute the word goat for another word.

It was hilarious.
