Ive had my hoontech addon for like a year now, it has spdif in/out and fiberoptic, but i have yet to use it.

what you guys use it for, give me some ideas, I already have a dtt2500 and 3 subs.
 
I have the original SB Live digital I/O card, the sound card itself died awhile ago and now the digital I/O card is hooked up to my neweer Live 5.1 card.

I use it to hook up my DTT3500 via SPDIF and my keyboard and digital drums via MIDI in/out.

I have a sblive drive, I mainly use the optical in and out for mastering purposes. I am a jazz musician and I can record a session, bring it home, master it/cd burn it) then export it back out if need be.
P.S. I dont touch my computer with any music I wish to release thats all done at the studio but for reference purposes and for easy distribution of music with no quality loss (apart from MD's inherent compression)its very usuefull (and stops me having to get dirty knees swapping cables at the back of my tower)
 
I planning on using the Hoontech Digital card and the external Digital DAC box for HT theater integration. The external Hoontech box is suppose to provide better sound quality because the DAC is located outside your case.

[*]KB/Mouse: something wireless
[*]NIC: Linksys 10/100
[*]Case Mods: case window w/ neon sound sensitive lighting

I need to provide some magnetic sheilding for the hardrive because the magnets on the front mains in my HT setup will cause severe problems!
