I planning on using the Hoontech Digital card and the external Digital DAC box for HT theater integration. The external Hoontech box is suppose to provide better sound quality because the DAC is located outside your case.
Here is my future planned system:
[*]Case: Black SX1030 Antec
[*]Cpu: Intel 700/100
[*]MB: probably Abit,Soyo, or Asus
[*]Ram: 256mb PC133 CL=2
[*]HD: large IBM(60gb)
[*]VC: ATI AIW Radeon
[*]SC: Sond Blaster Live! (regular)
[*]SC add-ons: Hoontech Digital Bracket and the Hoontech External Digital Amp(4 digital in's,2 outs)
[*]DVD: Pioneer slot Drive
[*]CDRW: Plextor 12/10/32
[*]KB/Mouse: something wireless
[*]NIC: Linksys 10/100
[*]Case Mods: case window w/ neon sound sensitive lighting
I need to provide some magnetic sheilding for the hardrive because the magnets on the front mains in my HT setup will cause severe problems!
HT Setup:
[*]Display: 35" Sony Direct View
[*]Reciever: Marantz SR7000
[*]speakers: Paradigm
[*]DVD: Apex AD-600a w/coaxial out
[*]Minidisc: MDS-JE510 w/optical out
[*]Satellite Receiver: Sony SAT-A2 w/optical out
