In my new townhouse, I am considering having no cable or antenna. May get an LCD projector and screen to watch DVD's on. I think I waste too much time watching TV when I have it available.
Why buy something as expensive as an LCD projector and not use it to its fullest capabilities? If you're going to spend $1000+ on a projector, spend the extra $50 a month and get cable (or at least spend $50 once and buy an antenna). Having a display as nice as an LCD projector and not having television on it would be like buying a sports car and never going on the freeway.
I got rid of TV years ago. I reccommend it to anyone, unless they are a sports fan. Even then, I catch the NHL Playoffs in the pub. You can easily download any particular shows you want to see. Ahem, not that I'd do that, of course.
oh no, that tv is on there just fine, trust me. i am getting a new stand though, have to find where i can pick the matchine one up. its expensive too (like almost $500) so i'm not getting it right now.
funny thing is my 27" wega weights more than my 50" DLP heh
