Just wanted to see who here absolutely love their car (current & past) and what car/cars you've own disappointed you. What car do you have? how long have you had it & why you love/hate it?
(I'm not listing every car i've own) Let me start with a few...
1988 Toyota Celica GT 110K - Would buy again - First car I had when I was in high school and thought it was the fastest, greatest looking, & best car in the world . So many memories I had with the car. Looking back, the car was such a hoopty POS . Transmission failure was the biggest thing that went wrong...though at that time i didn't know that owning a car require you to maintain it. I beat the heck out of the car and drove it everywhere (who doesn't when you first got your license?) I would definitely buy another 88 Celica not because I like it but because of all the memories i've had.
1992 Nissan 300zx 120k - Would buy again - Had the car for like 9 months, fun car & get a lot of attention especially girls , a lot of girls love the car & keep asking me for rides. Also a lot of people at stop light would start conversation with me & tell me how nice the car was (They couldn't believe it was a 92 when I told them). Mind you the car was taken care of and was in mint condition. Ultimately I sold the car because the dashboard squeaks/rattles & the car doesn't have enough hp for a sports car (should have dish out the money and bought the Twin Turbo). The car was very reliable & gave me 0 mechanical problem. I missed the car a lot and still passively looking for a mint condition/low mileage 94-96 Twin Turbo 300z to buy
1990 Supra Turbo 109k - Would not buy - I sold my 300z to buy this car for $500 (blown head gasket) with the intention of rebuilding it. I put in about $4-5k in parts alone and countless hours of labors (engine rebuild, turbo upgrade, sanding & painting the car). It was fun & rewarding at the same time. I absolutely love the car even though it's very unreliable & spend more time in the garage being fix than actual time on the road. The car was very fast and because I've basically build it from the ground up, it made me overlook all the negatives about the car.
I would not buy this car again because it's just too unreliable & have too many problems. Prepare to spend the majority of the time under the hood instead of on the road. Also the prices of these cars have skyrocketted ever since the "import tuner" nutjob discovered "supra".
2006 Honda Civic DX Coupe 0 miles - Would buy again as a 2nd car & priced right - The first car I bought brand new and loved it. I took meticulous care of the car (Mobil 1 synthetic, 30k transmission fluid change, etc...) After 2 years, I put 46k miles on the car with no mechanical/reliability issue until...rattles! I absolutely hate the interior rattling. Other than that, the car's interior, exterior & under the hood look like it just came out of the dealer with 0 miles...that's how well I took care of the car.
I'm OCD i guess but I can not stand interior rattle. Cheap POS
2006 Honda Accord LX Coupe 66k - Would not buy again - Couldn't stand the civic's rattling issues, I traded it in for this Accord. The accord have a substantial list of improvements over the civic. It have more power & torque (very noticeable) Power locks, remote entry/trunk, much quietier & smoother ride, interior quality is a huge upgrade, etc...
The only thing I hate about the car is that you can't really upgrade the stock radio due to honda's proprietary radio they put in there that control the a/c unit.
I thought it was going to be the car that i'll love and keep driving until the wheels fall off. But it's been cold lately & the interior started to rattles ...I'm so sick of Honda and their cheap POS interior rattling. Apparently they still didn't fix this "little" issue with the new 08+ accord either. Everyone is complaining of how cheap the plastic they're using & causing all kind of interior squeaks/rattle (did I mention their Acura line have the same problem?) Also at 68k miles, my car is having trouble starting in very cold weather. WTF, the car is a 2006 Model year & i'm going to need a new batter already?
I will not buy any more Honda/Acura crap until they start putting higher interior plastic in their cars that won't squeaks & rattle.

So I'm now looking to get rid of my car & get a different one (Not any Honda/Acura for sure).
