Who hasn't purchased a video game console in a long time?

The last system I purchased was the Sega Dreamcast in the winter of 1999.

N64 in 1997.
I had it for a month a gave it away.
Only computers since then.

EDIT: If people still rented console systems I might be willing to give most of them a try.
Went to Blockbuster and Hollywood. Both said the same thing:

"People lay down the deposit and then break the things. Then they come back and scream and threaten lawsuits if they dont get their deposit back. Even if we keep the deposit, its a real hassle to by a new system every week. Better to just not have them for rent."

Its a shame so many assholes exist in the world. Oh well.
BTW: I still want a PS2. So many games for both systems, it just seems like a nice thing to have. But then I would need a TV and entertainment center, and a couch. Its not worth it.

the last game system I purchased for myself was an old school, grey Gameboy in the mid-90's after saving up my allowance for a few months.

I was given a PS2 and gameboy SP as gifts, though, and my roommate has an XBox.

N64 when it first came out, still have it. Just got a DC off a buddy with a bunch of games, next will be an XBOX2 or PS3.

Traded-In original PS2 for slim PS2 on launch day. Sold PS2 and all games last week. No more video games for me. My WoW subscription expires in 6 hours.

last one was N64. i rarely play any video games anymore. some seem "neat" but they just can't hold my attention for more than 15 minutes, so they aren't worth the money.

Last I purchased was NES & ps2. Got SNES from a friend when he was going to the army, got PS1 as a gift, brother purchased dreamcast, girlfriend had store credit for 200 & bought xbox with it & gave to me, brother purchased gamecube (for naruto game), and I purchased PS2.
