I'll start. I'm measuring hairs. I have to measure 90 at time at least once a week.

My job consists of basically masking my contempt for the assholes in charge, and, at least once a day, retiring to the men's room so I can jerk off while I fantasize about a life that doesn't so closely resemble Hell.

My friend works for Sony on an assembly line. As tubes for projection TVs come down the conveyor, he picks them up and puts them in a box. When the box is full, he stacks the boxes on a pallet. When the pallet is full, he uses a pallet jack to move the stack to another location and starts another pallet. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Over and over and over, ten hours a day.

The bottom of the barrel job where I work is called shot blast (or hanging axles).

That is what you do, pick up an 60 lb. axle out of a box and hang it on a conveyor monorail or take it off the conveyor and put it in a box.

Not bad for $24/hr. plus bennies

One day it'll be done by robots, but that day hasn't happened yet.

We have an old dos based database here, and every monday I have to purge old reports. Using the keyboard, I have to do this.

(get to report purge menu)

1 enter
y enyer
2 enter
y enter
3 enter
y enter
.....

104 enter
y enter
......

up to sometimes 300 reports.

Thankfully I found a utility that automates keyboard input, but before then, man that sucked.

can i get free samples? :p

Everyone asks me that. I dunno, I could probably ask for some. I get as much laundry detergent, toothpaste, deodorant, and condoms as I need. Believe me, my friends are hitting me up for the condoms all the time too.

previous job i had to look for dropped characters in generated movie script translations (you know, in different languages, there's special characters like letters with accents on them and stuff and sometimes they appear as squares or weird characters.). anyways, imagine a script like Gods and Generals...in Romanian.

long ago in highschool i worked at the zoo (merchandising). when we had to do inventory we would have to count everything - stickers, feathers, books. and FVCKING rocks! rocks I say! you know, those you throw at windows to get the girl's attention or shoot from a slingshot? rocks! (and people buy these damn ROCKS!)

I take care of lab animals... Mainly non-human primates. Lets just say that they aren't very clean. Not really tedious but just not the most glamorous of jobs.

is it better than manually masturbating caged animals for artificial insemination
