I think Jack Box wins. Their egg rolls are to die for. Pure ambrosia when eatin with sweet and sour or barbeque sauce. I have been buying them from that place since 1988. I did take a break from buying eggrolls because the price became outrageous about 7 years ago.

They used to sell them as a pack of five for $3.99 back in the 80s all the way to the mid 90s, then went up to $4.99. Then around 2003 or so they went to the moon. You now have to buy them separately for $1.39 each ($7.00 for a five pack). :eek:

Why do your egg rolls have to be so damn good Jack Box? :'(

I like plum sauce on egg rolls, but I have not actually consumed one in several years, so I may not like that anymore. :hmm:

Knew a family in my neighborhood growing up that were Vietnamese refugees. They made egg rolls so good they were like crack. They were soooo damn addictive.

They moved away when I was like 12 and I lost contact with them. I have searched the world for egg rolls that compare, and have never found anything that even comes close.

I know what you are talking about. My ex sister in law was dating a Vietnamese guy and he knew how to make them from scratch.

Haha, damn. Yeah bet you don't have that in NC. I might need to go down there and buy about 100 today and freeze them.

Vietnamese Eggrolls blow everything else out of the water. There's simply no comparison.

Hah, I just had some Pho for lunch, but the place is Korean owned, and they served Chinese Egg rolls. (Only Pho place within 10 miles of work, so it's pretty much the only option if we want Pho.) They are good with hot mustard, but I still haven't ever tried Vietnamese egg rolls.

korean owned pho = :thumbsdown;

On my first trip up to LA, we went to a pho place. I was still a youngin' then, so I proceeded to order in vietnamese. The guy gave me this blank stare like WTF was I talking about.

I proceeded to point to a picture; I should've left right there.

Both The Cheesecake Factory and BJ's have avocado eggrolls that are to die for (or "for which to die," if you wanna be a grammar nazi ;)).

They're really similar and I haven't had them often enough to really make a comparison between them, however.
