XM since 04. I love Sonic radio and sometimes drive around for a while if my commute was too fast.

Comparing satelite to FM is like comparing broadband to dial up.....once you have it, you'll never go back. :)

XM FTW!!

I have XM and I'll probably keep it until I get a new car in three years or so..but I hardly drive enough for it to be worth it nowadays..I like Sirius that my mom has in her car.

I've got $100 in credit card rewards for Circuit City, and I've been seriously considering using it to get the Sirius unit added to my Pioneer deck, which can control a Sirius receiver. The problem is, I rarely drive my car since I take the train to work. But I'm moving cross country in six months, and will drive all the way, plus once I move I will be using my car to commute so Sirius will come in handy. But I don't want to pay the monthly cost until then. My credit rewards expire very soon, so I have to use them, can I just get Sirius installed in my car, but not activate it for a few months?

Sirius. Octane, Buzzsaw, Vinyl. Comedy, Sports and Talk Radio selections is also up there in my favorites.
Repeating traffic/weather every 4 minutes is epic.
I had to disconnect the power to my head unit for my car while hooking up the Siruis tuner. Lost all terriestial station presets. This was months and months ago. To this day, I have programmed not one FM/AM station to memory. I don't miss it one bit.

I have a 30gb ipod, but ever since I got Sirius, I haven't used my ipod once.

Even with my ipod loaded with tons of albums, i found myself only listening to 2-3 albums over and over again.

With satellite radio you get the variety of music plus talk shows.
I guess you could just put the ipod on random play to get the variety, but it's not the same.

Sirius I think for about 3 years. I love Raw Dog Comedy, Blue Collar Comedy, Area 33, Boombox (whatever 36 is called) and I really haven't ventured much more than that.

I have Sirius, have had it for a year now, and I can honestly say I don't know how I went without it all this time. Whenever I listen to terrestrial radio now, I cringe, it's so bloated with commercials and ****** programming/songs/repetition. I listen all day at work (in a 36 story tower), and never have a problem with reception. The antenna sits on my desk, nowhere near a window, and I get three full bars.

My favorite channel besides Hair Nation 23 (and of course Howard 100/101) is Movin EZ 4, because they have no DJ's!!!!

Seem like many people like it.

How much does it cost to get a Sirius/XM deck installed in a car? (2002 BMW 325)?

What are all of the fees, etc?

XM is $13.95/month for the first radio and $6.95/month for the 2nd,3rd,4th,5th

Sirius is $12.95/month for the first radio and $6.99/month for the 2nd,3rd,4th

As for installation, if you have a plug and play unit, it's so easy to install it in you car.
It's just a matter of tucking and hiding the wires.

Really? I thought Sirius was supposed to be CD quality...?

Sirius owner for about 1.5 yrs. Could not live w/out it. I don't really know channel names, just numbers. My presets are like 32, 17, 100, 101, 33, 18? I've got the little Reply unit so I can use it in the house and in the car. It simply plugs into my home system via an aux input channel, no need to buy their stuff. This all works great if you don't the antenna sitting on the dash instead of tucked away. But this way I can bring it with me in any car and use it in the house.
