I was just wondering how difficult it was, what kind of paint you used, etc. DId you sand it to metal then prime and paint?

Here you go, you take your case apart. then go down to you local paint stoer and buy some jasco paint and epoxy remover be sure to buy rubber gloves and eye protection these are a must it will burn your skin and melt your eyes.... now only brush this stuff on the metal parts of the case it will melt the plastic. It will start to bubble the paint off in a few minutes it works fast then use a putty knife to scrape the paint off. when your done wash the parts off with water and dry.. buy some high quality spray can primer and start spraying do light coats 3 or 4 should do be sure to prime the front plastic bezel. let dry over night. start sanding with 400grit paper then 800grit it will be nice and smooth whipe off dust with damp cloth... now spray with rustolieum do light coats again do 3 then let dry overnight then sand with the 800grit and dust off with damp cloth then spray 3 more coats let dry overnight then spray 3 to 5 coats of clear and your done. I sprayed my case but I used auto paint and used a HVLP { high valume low pressure sprayer} i sprayed it with 5 coats the 5 coats of clear over that then buffed it out and waxed it lookes nice BTW Im a painting contractor so I have the tools...

Paint remover sounds like a good idea. I bet that is much faster than sanding.

What color did you paint it?

I painted it black and the Jasco paint and epoxy remover will take it down to bare metal.

DARRIN..... We just put on the last clear coat today on our EN-7237. we used 1 coat primer after sanding down to bare metal with a finishing sander, then 3 color coats, hand-sanding w/1000 grit between each coat(lightly) and 2 clear coats. Then we'll wax it. So far so good, but the key word here is patience!
EDIT-- forgot to mention, we used Rustoleum primer, paint and clearcoat, don't mix the brands of paint your using.

My case has a plastic front. How do I prep it so that the paint will stick?

I am trying to go for the Black and Silver look.

I have painted:

My case
Front Bezels
CD-ROM and Burner Covers
Floppy Cover
Logitech Laser Mouse
Microsoft Internet Keyboard-Trim black keys Silver

And I am going to paint my moniter tonight.

I first sanded everything down with sandpaper then I when over it with steel wool. I painted 1 coat of primer, then about 3-4 coats of paint. Patients is the key like conlan said. I used Krylon, very good paint, And I covered the paint with a Krylon clea coat, It prevents smuddging. You can primer you case at about 5:00 and let it dry till aobut 8:00 then paint the 3-4 layers of you color, let it dry till the next morning and then put on your clear coat and let the dry for a day. Yes that is almost 2 days without your puter, but if I can do it anyone can.

FKloster how on earth did you do that??? Are you a professional paintbrusher?

I did my case. I just went to Wal-Mart and bought some spray paint. Nothing professional, just cheap color. I took the cover off and sprayed all over. Then I took the case outside and sprayed the front: Using paper to cover off the drives. Then I took the CDRom-Tray-Shield and the Floppy Disk barrier-kinda-thing out and sprayed them blue too. Looks cool.
Then I bought a DVDRom and it's all white :-(

Basically it's blue now. Does not look half as professional as mr fkloster's but cool anyway.

I've painted mine a little. Haven't had time to complete it. Problem I had is that the paint seems to chip extremely easily. Why's this??

How many cans of spray paint would it take to do a full tower? How many for a 21" monitor?

I see you guys like my case? here is the process I used...

Preliminary design using Mechanical Desktop and 3Dsmax (email for this pic if you want to see it)
Made layout for flames in full scale using Autocad
Plotted out template on full size plotter
Traced template onto case (which was sanded to bare metal)
Used masking tape and newspaper to cover areas not to be painted
Airbrushed flames onto case panels and let dry for few days
Repeated procedure for rest of case, let dry for few days
Buffed out ridges of paint using polishing compound
Clear coat 5x
Let dry
Buffed out again?.all done 
