Sunday night I think thats what I got and man oh man not a fun thing.
Here are the gorey details.

8:30 pm eat dinner

9:00 pm try to go to sleep ( have to get up at 6:30 am )

Midnight the toilet fest begins ( yes you guessed it the RUNS )

2:00 am the vomiting stops by till about 4:00 am

Monday the entire day every muscle in my body feels like its being pounded on by a hammer. Also have chills and a nice headache.

Try to eat something Monday about noon no luck there either, only liquids will work.

From Sunday night till Monday night got maybe 2 hours of sleep.

Finally Monday night feeling better take some Nyquil and head to bed at 8:00 pm slept like the dead till 6:30 this morning feeling MUCH better now.

I had Salmonella when I was young. I remember being in the hospital and only being able to eat crushed ice.

Tuna seems quite common also, mine was from something else wont mention what and from who, but a fast food place here in california.

Twice when I was in the service in SoCal.
Both times from eating Mexican food.
To this day, I STILL don't like Mexican food.:disgust:

Had some bad water while i was in Fiji.

Imagine, if you will, food poisoning (or whatever it was) at 30,000 feet for 15 hours. :( :(

In a drunken state a few years ago I made the mistake of buying a chilli cheese dog from 7/11 at 4 or so in the morning, man that sucked! same symptons though.

whole body was in pain from vomiting so much.

I'll never make that mistake twice.

happened to me twice - once when i was really young i ate a hot dog from a street vendor and went on a plane ride to india with a stopover in england. i had to get off in england and was in the hospital for like 10 days.

the more recent story - i went to india this past july and drank some water without boiling it first. that night i had severe chills, diarrhea, and vomitting. the stupid doctor gave me pills (5!) instead of IV. I cannot take that many pills at once and I ended up having horrible nightmares. I later threw up the pills. The next day i checked in the hospital (if you can call it that) and was hooked up to an IV for a day. After that I felt much better but i never fully recovered till i returned to the good ol' USA approx a week later.

Wow man you beat me badly, mine was annoying but didnt put me in the hospital. I did speak to one of my clients Monday morning, her husband is a doctor and she said that they really cant do much just have to let it pass in most cases.

What really sucks about food poisoning (or in my case altitude sickness) is having to make the choice... we all know what the choice is... You have to crap and vomit at the same time. The first time you experience this, you don't know what to do. It is a confusing, panicy moment for most people. You sit on the toilet and start looking for something, nay ANYTHING to put your head into.

Not fun.

Had that happen once. Thankfully the sink was close enough I could lean over without getting too much distance between my rear and the seat :p.

I ate some bad BBQ once, and I was sick for a couple of days. I've never vomited so violenty as I did in those few days. I lost about 15 pounds that I didn't have to lose, so I was looking pretty bad.

I had it so bad in Costa Rica that i was hallucinating. Was 5 hours away from San Jose where the nearest hospital was. Only a town "doctor" was there. I just ate 7-9 benadryl and finally passed out, i had the worst heartburn for 5 days there after and the only antacid i could find was latin equivalent milk of magnesia. Throw up tastes better than that sh!t.

I got a really virulent strain of food poisoning during high school. Put me in the hospital a few times. They had to put me on barbituates laced with belladona neurotoxin to keep my stomach from spasming. The pain from my internal organs spasming made me black out more than a few times. Not to mention the dry heaves... that was as fun as eating your own feces.

I think there was a bad batch of burgers at our town picnic because a few other people in the ER at the time were also suffering from the same exact thing. I recognized this one lady... she was wailing in agony. While I was just trying to stay conscious despite the pain and keep down the drugs. They ended up injecting her with dematrol (narcotic painkiller)... I can understand... I've only encountered pain like that once since.

They gave me an IV for dehydration and a liquid dose of narcotic to calm me down. I had to have some IVs done at home too. Thankfully my family is in medicine so I didn't have to stay in the hospital. Even after that month or so of mindnumbing spasms and narcotic drugs, my stomach didn't fully recover for another year. I had to take preventitive medicines for another 6 months afterwards to help my stomach recover.
