Who has had a Tetanus shot recently?

Yea, so my arm is real sore.... hasn't really gotten any better, friend of mine said that tetanus shots can hurt for 7 - 10 days... i've had a few shots, but none of them hurt after say 2 days.... is this common with tetasnus shots?

It can happen. Feels like a really big nasty bruise. It's an immune reaction... so at least you know the shot worked.

You can put ice on it, might help the swelling some.

could be worse. you could've taken the shot in the butt.

damnit i was afraid of that


so i googled a bit, seems like its normal in some circumstances, but it could also be an allergic reaction..... but more people say its just sore for a week.... so maybe someone here who has gotten it can say how long they were sore for. thanks

that sounds reasonable... used the ice, didn't help much with the swelling but i only put the ice on for like 15 minutes
