I'm looking at getting a matched pair of PIIIs for my dual socket 370 board. Has anyone bought the OEM PIII 1GHz from either Newegg or Googlegear lately? If so, what was your stepping? If you bought two, were they identical? TIA

since p3 coppermine production ceased last year, you'll have a hard time getting hold of one far less 2 new cpus! :(

Most likely it would be SL52R if i remember correctly... i've got two before from different places and they were both the same stepping...

I'm after the 133fsb. I looked at neweggs pictures and they show SL52R cD0.

Ctkelly, how do they run on your Acorp?

Runs perfectly fine. However, I fit right in the category of couldnt budge a single mhz over on the FSB. No overclocking for me I guess. Some people have had much better luck than that. Course, I never bought that setup to overclock anyways!

Was my first dualie, turned out pretty good. Id recommend using 512MB of ram no matter what you do. I ran it with 256 for a while and it fine but much better off with 512MB.
