Who has BattleField 2142?

I have it, I like it despite all the politics and opinion surrounding it. Get the demo before you buy though.
 
I have it, and rather like it. Plays a little different that BF2, but again, if you know others that play it can be fun.

I tried the demo. I wasn't impressed. It just feels like BF2 with new skins. While the titan mode was certainly cool, it's not worth $50.

Given that and the whole spyware fiasco, I won't be buying it.

I have it. Despite the bad crap it has around it, the game is very fun, and much much better than bf2. It's way more balanced than bf2. I play bf2 a lot, and carrierraping/owning w/ the jet was getting old.

It was rare to see an opposing pilot who can pose a challenge (once/1-2 weeks or so)
 
I have it and like it too. The only thing that is a major bug in the game as of yet is the lag when Titan ships move to close too each other.
 
I have it, but I really don't like it. Aside from the standard things that everyone doesn't like (The slow, clunky feeling, the blah graphics, the ads, etc), they made the things that I really enjoyed doing suck.

Anti-Tank missle? Crap. Attack helicopter missile? Worse than crap.

It's just not a good game.
 
I played about 10 hours of it yesterday. This game gets a big 2 thumbs up ! This is the most fun I've had online in ages. I never played the originals..so I can't compare it to them. There are a few caveats.

1.) It is resource intensive, you re going to need 2 gigs of ram to play flawlessly.
2.) It is not really a game where you can just go online and play with strangers...you really need something of a working squad to enjoy it. It can be hard to find those randomly online. Me and a few friends bought it, so I really don't worry about that.
3.) Alot of people complain of bugs..I only experienced one, after I unlocked a skill and chose it, the game booted me out and I had to reboot. I am using a fully patched sp2 legit install.
4.) If you haven t played any of the older ones, there is a bit of a learning curve (the game presents you with so much info on the hud and the spawning system is initially unintuitive).

Normally I can't stand fps...I am more of a civilization, rome: tw, or rts guy. This game though just got me addicted to fps though.

I highly recommend it if you have a few other friends willing to pick it up.
 
got it, love it, how do i advance rank in single player? instant actions because im playing the map playlist and getting mad kills but my weapons are still all locked up.

individually, you can't do crap. W/ a squad (2 engineers, 1 supply, the rest whatever), you can take out tanks/gunships at will. you'll be amazed how fast 2 engineers can take out tanks (aim for the back/wheels), walkers (aim for the legs), and gunships (aim for the bottom). Sometimes, just 2 choice consecutive shots by 2 engineers (within a second of each other) will take out a tank FAST. Hell, sneaking up on people w/ recon (cloaked) and knifing them and taking their tag, and/or sneaking up on walkers/tanks and hook up some C4 equivalent is very fun.

I have no idea why people complain by doing everything by themselves. This game, just like BF2, is HEAVILY squad/team based. if you try to do things alone, it gets difficult. That's why there are squads, and there's a ton of perks a squad leader has to make it every team orientated. There's VOIP that SHOULD be utilized. You have no idea how much more fun the game is after you realize this is a TEAM game and not an individual fragfest.
