Who's your service provider? And what 5 ringtones do you currently have? Mine is AT&T. And my 5 ringtones are below.

My (5)ringtones:

1) Mya - Case Of The Ex
2) Hikaru Utada - First Love
3) Darude - Sandstorm
4) Shaggy - It Wasn't Me
5) Cash Money Millionaires - Project B*tch

Oh yah, if you want ringtones and don't know where to get em from PM me and I can either show you were to get it from or send it to yah.

I have a Nokia 8260 under AT&T. I called up their cs (800-888-7600) to find out how to download ringtones to my phone. they told me that downloading ringtones to my phone would void the nokia warranty, therefore you can't download it under AT&T. Has anyone using AT&T out there downloaded ringtones to their phone? how do you get around it?

never mind, I figured out how to download to my 8260 phone for ATT. I went to the-mobile.net. For AT&T users, make sure you use the email: yournumber@dpcs.mobile.att.net Do not use the @mobile.att.net ending. I still don't know if it affects my warranty but oh well.

My ringers are:
1)Big Pimpin
2) Better off alone
3) Stan
4) Oops! I did it again
5) It wasn't me

DCB322: Thats funny, they told me that it was not compatible on their side yet and they would be coming out with it soon. Not to thrilled with them. Grrr.

try using the @mobile.att.net email address. For some reason, some ringtones work using the @dpcs.mobile.att.net address and others work using the @mobile.att.net address. and some don't work at all. My advice is to try both addresses until one works. I just downloaded the austin powers theme off of www.the-mobile.net using the @mobile.att.net address.

also, make sure you have the email capability activated on your phone.

as far as I know, the 2 way text messaging is free right now. ATT has a promotion for 2 way text messaging through February 2001.

After february, it's like 4.99 a month, you can receive up to 250 messages per month. I have the regional adv. 120 plan and I only pay the normal monthly fee 29.99.

You can sign up for on their website at www.att.com/wireless (you must create an account) or call up their c.s. number.

You can beam the tones via InfraRed if you have a laptop, since most have an IR port. You just need the software.
