According to my sister, University of Delaware has fast internet (decent speed at peak; great at off-peak), but 1 gig cap a day. I'm pretty sure they have Cable, but the rooms are really small....

RIT (i'm in tower A):

5mbit+ internet (for now, till everyone finishes moving in and sucks it all up), 57 channel 'basic' cable (time warner) lineup, phone, many different floor and dorm combinations. My floor is 3 rooms to a bathroom in these little clusters. Rooms are a lil bit smaller than others i've seen but all (i think) have been renovated in the past 2 years and have a good amount of furniture and storage.

Edit: 3 rooms to a bathroom, not ppl

I was in the A&M dorms for 1 year (Aston in Fall 95, Appelt in Spring 96). Appelt had ethernet back then and it was great... you could even get them to let you around the firewall or open up certain ports.

I go to the University of Michigan...I'm in Mary Markley dorm (mostly freshmen). The hallways are dark and narrow, the rooms are small...but the furniture is relatively nice ('cept my flat panel monitor won't fit under the shelves on the desk) and the Internet access is QUITE FAST.. I'm itching to host my own site...too bad it's against the school's TOS.

Where I'm at now (at Clemson) is pretty nice. It's an on-campus apartment. Some of the benefits of living off-campus (quieter, car is closer, etc.) but with the benefits of still being on campus (close to class, people that I know, internet, etc.). While Clemson is notoriously bad for having bad dorms (they were in the top 20 of some list my mom read a few years ago for dorms that are the most like dungeons), this one is actually pretty nice, as was the suite-style room I stayed in last year. There are some places that are no good, though - I lived in one as a freshman - but the quality here isn't too terrible.

Uh...it's related because it's about dorms which also happens to be mentioned in the title.
