Rather pitiful you had to find it here in the AT P&N forum.

Dubya is like the Great Drunken Slur !

Reagan = The Great Communicator
Clinton = The Great Fornicator
Bush = The Great Strategery

The votes in this poll suggest (N=36 is way too low) that Bush should NOT start campaigning any time soon. :)

He'd probably be better off hiding out in the White House for the next 9 months and then come out for one brief speech.

No Red, Al Gore is worst. Dean is positively incandescent compared to Bore, er, Gore. :)

Gore might have been boring but he never came across as a raving lunatic. The same can't be said for Dean!

The poll would have been closer if it was: George "Dubya" Bush vs Al "Lockbox" Gore

Red:

Yeah, but if that Dean speech had been boring it wouldn't have made all the news outlets!

Anyway, I think Dean is dieing and right now Stentorian is winning. Ugh! Kerry is not the best speaker either. If Kerry is the nominee then I fear the debates will be downright ugly.

Well I don't think it will matter who wins the Democratic nomination. I'm still looking forward to seeing Bush have his feet put to the fire for lying to the American Public about WMDs in Iraq. I can't wait for him to bring up "Well Clinton thought they were there too!"

Bush's 1st State of the Union Address was impressive to me, but the rest of his speeches have been pretty weak (though he was well-prepared for the most recent SotU...it was just not written to rise to the occasion). Willy, however, developed into a great orator by the end of his 1st term and could deliver great speeches extemporaneously?like a well-educated used car salesman (who else could try to sell the ambiguity in the word ?is? and the phrase ?sexual relations?) :)

No matter how you slice it though, Clinton was at least 100 times better at speaking than Bush. Bush is positively the worst speaker I have ever heard in my life, President or not. The whole Newcular thing positively baffles me and he continues to use it over and over, despite all the coaching I'm sure he gets.

Who else, I should think it obvious to a bright mind like yours. Any thinking person knows that what is is can change depending on the parsing of the context. I think what you are really doing here is depending on the anti intellectualism that pervades our country do to the enormously deceased competitiveness of so many who seek advantage by belittling the intelligence of others in the hopes of blunting their intellectual development sufficiently to allow that of the belittler to shine forth in greater apparent magnitude. Is snort you are playing upon the red necked beloved patriot bone head average Americans learned contempt for all he has failed at in the way of intellectual development to disparage somebody who can think as well as, or perhaps even much better than you, since from your words, of course, we cannot determine whether you really are so dense yourself as not to be able to distinguish shades of meaning and are part of those who have truly bought into this tiresome chant, what is is, or if you are only the car salesman yourself hoping to make a profit on this thread barren rant. If you are really interested in how meanings change depending on the circumstances you should take a look at Bush's offering of reasons we went to war. There you will see how peace became war and slavery freedom.

Whether it is true or not, Clinton always sounded like he understood what he was talking about. Bush just doesn't show that level of comprehension.

I can't wait to see the crowds Bush's speeches gets in 8 years after all the crap hes done is exposed. Clinton may have done some ugly things too but you can hardly tell by the folks who travel miles to hear him speak nowdays
