My sisters both went to a top tier school. They both graduated ... one is working at Starbucks and the other is a real estate agent-in-training. It's sad how I came out on top by going to just a "decent school".

Actually all of us.
I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters and they all have nice going careers.
Its kinda weird but my 2nd oldest brother is the smartest one of all and he makes the least money.
Even myself being a manager at McDonalds makes more than him relatively.(my 43K in Fl to his 46K in Cali).

He was a CS major here at the University of Central Florida when his computer team finished 2nd overall to Stanford in the anual world computer programming contest.
Evryone was like, who in the hell is this UCF ??
This put UCF on the map as far as CS is concern.
I know hes a legend at the UCF CS department cause when I enrolled there, when they found out I was his brother, all the professors started drooling....LOL too bad I suck at CS(its that or I didn't try very hard).

His problem is that he works for a small firm developing softwares.
He can easily be making over 70K++ with his credentials but he likes his freedom I guess.

Prob my uncle, turned down Oxford because he got full ride to HKU (ended up being a math prof there). Me turning down UCLA to accept Regent's at UCD don't really compare. I kick his ass at writing papers though.

I have a few distant relatives who have doctorates degrees. One has a Ph.D from UCSB and is working at UCLA and another I assume has a DDS (dentistry) and is a lecturer at UCLA's School of Dentistry.

As for my immediate family, my parents and my sister have their Master's degrees. I only have my Bachelor's.

My performance in highschool was lackluster. College was above average, nothing special though its not a super hard school. I have a BS in CIS now, but am not making much money because I'm split between two part time jobs, neither of which pay much. Hoping for something full time this spring though, perhaps a technology position at a public school, something simple.

I did really good in grade school, junior high, and high school. I was in a Illinois state program called, ISP, individual studies program, where we learned advanced brain storming techniques, programming, etc. I tested into the program. For my entire grade school, I spent very little time in actual class. I skipped 4th grade. My 6th grade year only 5 people (in the state) cored better than me on our state exams.

My problem was that I grew into a socialite in highschool, having missed alot in earlier schools. This hurt my high school grades because I didn't focus like I did in previous schools. I still graduated with a 3.8 GPA. I did take the ACT my freshmen year and scored a 27, not to bad. My ISP partner through most of grade school scored a perfect 36 his senior year. I think had I stayed as disciplined as he, I could have got close to that.

I started college but quickly stopped to get into an internet startup. after that there is no school.

Even though I dropped out of college, I still feel, on an academic level, I excel more than anybody else in my family, except now maybe my younger step brother, who is getting straight a's at U of Illinois.

Me: MS, but graduating with a PhD Chemical Engineering in May 2004.
Wife: BS
Brother: dual BS - entering medical school hopefully or grad school if he isn't accepted
Sister: MS (She was the first born of my family, but I got my MS before she did)
Father: MS
Mother: took some college classes
Father-in-law and mother-in-law: 2 year degrees
Sisters-in-law: first born was a dropout and youngest is working on BS.

So that makes me the most educated at the moment.

I am the first in my family to have a Bachelor's degree, so I guess I am the most academically excelled. I have two brothers, (one older, one younger) who are both in college. My older brother is just a lazy a$$ who is on the 8-year extended plan.

My academic prowess will soon end though...........my wife graduates with her MS degree in June :(
