Who exactly sends out all the spam?

SubZeroX

Senior member
Who the fvck sends out all this spam? Do they get money for spamming so much? Can we find out who they are so we can kick their asses or something?

** aphexII downsizes his mail client that just send out 21,000 emails.... :Q

I agree with ya' 100%!

And on that note, where in the heck are all these women that appear on porn sites coming from? I can't believe so many women have such low self-esteem. 🙁

Maybe if someone would charge like $.01 to send an email, it would probably pay it. It would probably cut back on all the porn spam. I wouldn't want the gov't to get the money though, maybe ISP's would get it, then lower our monthly rates.

There's little gnomes that live underground in Kazakhstan who run a foundry where they forge headers in heat that can be found nowhere else on earth. They handcraft each l'il piece of spam every day like Santa's elves meets the Borg. Then every night, they fly out on their magic winged sausage casings to deliver all the spam to the world. They don't give a sh!t if you've been bad or good.

I saw on the news that one was a one-room marketing company that rented a small office in a mall.

Subject: Happy Dude!
Body:
Hello Friend! Do you wish to be as happy as me? (insert picture) If so, send $1 to Happy Dude! P.O. BOX ~~~~~~~~~~~.
Remember, Happieness is just a dollar away!

Outlook Express Merged with a Excel Database...

Ours isnt real spam though, its a weekly newsletter to our customers....

I once read the manual for the human body. It says there is supposed to be only one asshole issued for each human being. Spammers are conclusive proof that someone has obviously been overproducing. :|

A former friend of mine does this for a "living" in Hawaii. He is one of those "get rich quick" schemers (getting poorer and poorer) that is always buying newer and better spam software.

What boogles my mind is that so many people fall for his crap.

Why don't they make software that only allows you to receive from specified e-mail addresses? Certainly would cut down on the amount of spam everyone gets.

You would never get any mail then.

Ya know what sucks about sending so many messages though?

I just got back 1,814 as undeliverable and i have to delete them ONE BY ONE from the database. 🙁

Try blocking the sender.

are you tracking the email newsletter that you are sending out at all?
click-thrus and stuff?

and as for dealing with bounce-backs...
there are more civilized ways.

obviously there are personalized replies, which you can't do anything about.
but you can set a filter for certain words...
such as "out of the office", "vacation" for auto replies.

for server bouncebacks... you can set other words to detect what sort of bouncebacks they are.

whether the email is invalid or whether the server is detecting your email as a spam and rejecting it.
i'm sure you are very familiar with these emails... as you are having to do so manually.

my company has been using a third party vendor, but since this month, we've been trying to use our own developed email engine.

if you have any questions, you can shoot them my way.

and for those of you wondering, no i don't send spams.

Is there anyway to make a standard returned email remove a row in an excel doc with the email address that was bad?

Right now were using Outlook express and havent figured out a way to do it.
