Who else was rejected from colleges this week?

I applied to Swarthmore, Haverford, Colgate, Bucknell, Lafayette, Lehigh, and Rutgers. So far I've beene accepted to Rutgers, Lehigh, and Lafayette and been rejected by Haverford. I listed them in order of preference, so getting into my last three is nice but not fantastic. I've pretty sure I won't get into Swarthmore if I did not get into Haverford, which is sad because I am a very good student.

But enough about me. Any other high school seniors get their letters this week?

hey my little sister just called me and told me she get rejected by swarthmore...she got into pitt, rochester, and RIT...she's waiting on penn and hopkins.

hang in there man, college acceptances are goofy...there's no saying where you will and wont get in...my sister is the valedectorian and has 1400+ sats and bunch of ecs but she still didnt get in.

that wasnt to get you down...i'm just saying there's no 'yardstick' for these things. I known people with lesser credentials get into swarthmore.

About a month into the school year, I applied for and got accepted to UW-Whitewater. I have had senioritis since.

I haven't gotten rejected yet and I don't think I will get rejected to any of my schools as I applied to Safteys. All safteys!

Yea my SATs are over 1400 too....thanks for the comforting words Inspector Jihad.
Why does Swat suck? Thats not the first time I've heard someone say that.

well i dont really know their program or anything...there's just a lot of tools that go there...so i imagine it would suck interacting with them all the time.

The typical Swarthmoron acts like they're so much better than everyone else, when in fact the college is nothing special. And it certainly doesn't warrant the tuition they're pushing, that's for damn sure.

Sats over 1400? Out of 2400? I don't understand.

I got accepted to Texas A&M and University of Texas last year. (If you are in the top 10%, you get automatic admission to public Texas high schools.) I've still been keeping my grades up, but senioritis will probably break me after AP testing,

good luck to all those hearing back!

and, a word of advice, i applied early to wharton as a senior and was so disappointed when i got rejected. when i look back now, i cannot tell you how glad i am that that never happened. i really hope yall get in to where you wanna go, but don't be overly harsh on yourself or sad if you don't get into some of your reaches. things happen for a reason and it may end up being one of the best things to happen to you (as it certainly was for me)...

No no, over 1400 out of 1600. Seniors graduating this year were required to sumbit new SAT scores but the large majority of schools did not use them for admission purposes, only for benchmarking for next year's applicant pool.

i did applied math. there's a ton of prereqs and my schedule was filled my first year of school. some ppl dont like that but it was key to me; i was set on doing something business related (like engineering management systems) but i had a really great math professor and a knack for it. i ultimately decided to major in it and it was a great decision for me...

Yea I got my rejection from swarthmore today. Dissapointed, as it was my number one choice. Oh well.
