the tallest buildings rankings are BS anyway. Sears Tower should still be #2 (behind Taipei 101 only). They count the spires on top of Petronas as part of the building, which finish higher than the ceiling of the Sears Tower. The Sears ceiling (actual non-ornamental usable space) is higher than the ceiling(s) of Petronas. The antennas on Sears are also higher than the spires on Petronas. But since the spires are considered part of Petronas' structure, albiet ornamental hogwash, and Sears' antennas are separate entities...Sears gets the shaft 
Same thing with Freedom Tower. Isn't it supposed to be ~60% spire? No matter...once Caltrava's spire gets built, Chicago will be on top again (although, it may sitll be smaller than the Burj-not sure)
