Anyone else really hate this time of year? Its so dark and cold. Even during the limited daytime, the sun never comes through the grey skies...
All I can do to pass the time is nef and hit refresh 5000 times on my dailies. I've not coded for some time now. I've read absolutely no books this season. I feel completely unproductive. I just want to sleep and eat.
Last summer was amazing and I miss it so much
I had a daily routine:
- Wake up around noon to find fresh groceries the parents picked up
- Hit up the daily websites
- Go out on the patio for the afternoon and work my way through some analysis texts.
- Enjoy the sun and cool drinks.
- Perhaps do some yard work and have a couple beers
- Get together with the neighbours for some BBQ (we have a tight neighbourhood and do this regularly)
- Go inside and code for a few hours while I wait to go out
- Go out around 8-9PM and get drunk or high. Party. Go place to place and see all the hot girls I like come home for summer break.
- Wander around the city at night when no one is awake and the air is cool and refreshing.
- Reflect on life as the buzz slowly wears off.
- Discover streets I had never been on. Getting a different perspective of buildings and various places I had only driven past.
- Go home, sleep until noon and repeat all summer
