Anyone else really hate this time of year? Its so dark and cold. Even during the limited daytime, the sun never comes through the grey skies...

All I can do to pass the time is nef and hit refresh 5000 times on my dailies. I've not coded for some time now. I've read absolutely no books this season. I feel completely unproductive. I just want to sleep and eat.

Last summer was amazing and I miss it so much :( I had a daily routine:
- Wake up around noon to find fresh groceries the parents picked up
- Hit up the daily websites
- Go out on the patio for the afternoon and work my way through some analysis texts.
- Enjoy the sun and cool drinks.
- Perhaps do some yard work and have a couple beers
- Get together with the neighbours for some BBQ (we have a tight neighbourhood and do this regularly)
- Go inside and code for a few hours while I wait to go out
- Go out around 8-9PM and get drunk or high. Party. Go place to place and see all the hot girls I like come home for summer break.
- Wander around the city at night when no one is awake and the air is cool and refreshing.
- Reflect on life as the buzz slowly wears off.
- Discover streets I had never been on. Getting a different perspective of buildings and various places I had only driven past.
- Go home, sleep until noon and repeat all summer

:(

Winter is the worst season of the year, although I love the snow. It's so cold and the freezin' wind.....
However summer isn't always good for me either. Sometimes it's too hot and too wet and too humid/dry. Don't give me wrong. I know that nautre needs her rain and her mositure and her sun but come on. There is noo need for a 4-3 day rain period.:)

I live in Florida and still can't get away from winter. I hate cold weather. I wish I had a winter home in the Virgin Islands

I don't miss summer so much as I hate winter.

had to leave my apartment 30 minutes early today to walk 3 blocks in the cold/snow and dig out my car. and then I had to drive slow the entire way because of ice on the roads.

I'm lucky, it's summer for 80% of the year here in the Panhandle of FL. The other twenty, it's dreary and cold - I hate winter.

Not a big winter person either, but it's a little more than 60 days untill March 1st, that's usually when I take the Camaro out of the garage and start working in the yard.

It's almost always overcast/foggy here during winter, and I hate it. Normal highs are often around 50 degrees in January, so while it's not freezing, it's still dreary.

By contrast, our June-August normal highs are ~94-97 degrees and we exceed 100 often. I like our summer weather, better than dark, cold winter, at least--especially since it's a dry heat, not a humid one.

The only thing I really hate about winter is the decreased declination of the ecliptic, and therefore the sun constantly being in my damn eyes. I can live with the cold weather.
