Longest Day...Mmm....can't remember it. What was it about?

I remember the film(World war2 in B&W) lots of well known actors like John Wayne,Richard Burton etc,pretty good film,I prefer the "great escape" that`s my favourite.

Sean Connery is in there too(and his hair actually has colour to it! ) The Great Escape is good too same with the sands of Iwo Jima (i hope i spelled that right )

The Longest Day is really probably the last great epic with a true cast of thousands. It's best attribute is the german technical direction, so that the producer (Darryl F. Zanuck) could accuratly depict the german side as well as the allied side.
