Who else loves a clean car?

Kind of spun off this thread :

Personally, I like a clean car in general..with literally nothing in it.

Puts off car break - ins (hopefully), and I like the feeling of a clean car...after 2 years of owning my Audi, it only has my frisbee golf discs and some change :).

I would say I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to attempting to keep my car clean but since I started carting my daughter around things have been all down hill. I know I have an issue though because it eats away at me every time I see how dirty it now is.

Well, no kids for me..so I do not have that issue. I used to cart my dog around, but now we got a grand cherokee, with a dog fence and rubber mat in the back...it's too perfect to not take it.

Keeps my car clean :D

I am pretty anal when it comes to interior of my car. I typically only have my sunglasses in a pocket underneath the steering wheel and my mp3 player hooked up to an aux input. I vacuum regularly and wipe down the interior every now and then.

Depends on the vehicle. My 93 Silverado is a mess because it gets winter driving duty, and it has 200K miles on it so I don't care. My Cobalt is the random cruiser and I have a camping chair for after softball games, along with my baseball...well softball now, glove. etc. I have a bunch of random shit on the front seat like receipts, some change, etc. I clean that up every once and awhile, but usually don't care.

My Vette on the other hand, is spotless. I hate when people don't shut the doors the right way (placing more than 1 finger anywhere other than the rubber seal at the bottom of the window and gently pushing it shut). Nothing extra is ever left inside of it. I keep my sunglasses in the middle console. I even have all of the vents lined up with each other instead of all in random directions. Lol, never realized I was so strict on it until listing it all out. I don't plan on changing though! :)

My truck is always a mess, but nothing with food on/in it gets left in there. I don't want it to smell.

14-year old truck is in selling condition but it's not because I'm selling. ;) I take care of everything I own.

I washed the exterior of my car two cars ago. Haven't washed a car since. I usually don't leave garbage in the interior. The brown color scheme I chose mostly hides the mud I leave behind after mountain biking...

Between replacing my head units, swapping my steering column, cleaning my vents, re-doing my gauge cluster, and swapping to a manual - I think my car looks better like thaT :p

my wife on the other hand .. well lets just say I refuse to ride in that garbage can she calls a car .. soda bottles .. napkins ... bags .. papers .. half the time she has to clean the seat of before a passenger can even get in the car.

Neat freak and minimalist here. Only thing loose in the car is the metallic sunshade that I fold up and stuff behind the passenger seat, and it's my second one with a nylon edging that won't deteriorate and flake apart and make a mess. Even the glove box and center console and cup holders and stuff stay empty, save for registration and insurance papers. Trunk is empty save for a spare belt and an occasional rifle.

I can't stand people who have to stuff junk in every nook and cubbyhole just because it's there.

I've ridden in people's cars where the interior spells like rotten banana peels. Don't know how people can live in their own garbage.

I like to keep my car clean inside and out. Once a week I clean the car, usually on Friday or Saturday evening. I don?t spend hours on the car, usually I can do everything in less than an hour including hand washing the exterior, wiping down the interior, conditioning the leather, cleaning the glass and vacuuming the carpet. I?ve done it so many times it has become second nature. The car is a 2006 Lincoln LS V8 with 40k miles; it still looks, smells, feels and drives like new. Sometimes if I am lazy I sneak in a trip to the wash bay to use the pressure washer ? never the brush though.

I actually find my weekly cleaning ritual to be very relaxing. Also, after a stressful day at work it?s really nice to walk out to a nice clean car and have a relaxing drive home.
