I hate managers looking over my shoulder. They don't do my job but they love to point out non-applicable non-practical crap that I should be doing instead. Gtfo

I hate working with peers. They love to ask, "hey what do you think about this?" WTF, you want me to interrupt what I'm doing and glance at your problem without doing a full assessment? Are you going to monitor it the way I would? I don't ask you questions, I'm not going to share in your liability either.

I hate working with subordinates. I work the night shift, so I get stuck with all the noob techs in training. It's frustration every couple of months until I groom them to the way I want things done. And then when they are excellent, they want a better shift during the day.

I've always worked with very small teams(≤3), and now work completely alone. I'm ok with both setups, and there's advantages/drawbacks to each, but I definitely wouldn't want to work with a bunch of people.

Thank god I don't have micro managers, or peers that I hate. Life would suck if I hated my job

My team is just me and my tech at night. However there are overlap times when I come in and then when morning shift comes in. I hate overlap time

I like working with people, otherwise it would be insanely boring. I don't however like supervisors constantly monitoring what I'm doing, which is usually the case.

Sounds like you better start your own business and go into work for yourself cause most jobs involve working with others and YOU figuring out how to get along with them.

I do, one of the perks of my mobile support position. My manager lives 2 hours away. I see him like 2 times a year...

Micro Managers are the worst type of manager. The best way to deal with them when they are prying is to ask politely: "Are you here because I'm doing something wrong, or are you here because I'm not doing something exactly the way you think it should be done?"

Calling people out on their crap works.

Although I generally prefer to work by myself, but I am willing to work with other as long as they can work at my pace. I don't like to work slow.

I work in a soundproof room all by myself all day. Makes you go a little crazy but I do love not having anybody there to stand over me.

I liked working with my bosses. They were usually a lot more chill and easier to work with. It was physical work and they are always older than me so they always take a relaxed pace. And they were cool to talk with. One boss would come pick me up at like 10 am. We'd go to breakfast and he'd buy. We work an hour or two, then he'd buy me lunch and hang out for a long time. Then we'd work 3 or 4 hours. Then he'd take me home and I'd get a full days pay lol.

Hated working with other people though. Those above me would drive everyone like a slave. My peers would always try to tell me how something should be done their way. So you've have 20 different people telling you 20 different ways, and they would some how think they are above me when they aren't. Or I'd have it all planned out and doing my part well, they would screw around then later I'd have to stop my plan and they'd want me to help finish theirs. It was totally lame. Got sick of them talking down to me too.

And really really hate working around people of other trades. Ugh.

Anyway I work alone now and it's a million times better. Make my own hours, get up when I want, work when I want. No people to hassle with ever. I might hire some help eventually though.

Or the ones that say "Use your own discretion" when what they really mean to say is "Use my discretion. And there's a lot of information that you don't have which concerns this project, so your result won't be correct anyway."

I do normally prefer working alone. School, high school, college, and work....so much of the "group work" projects usually involve me doing most of the work because I wanted the result to be up to my standards. Or if we were evaluated independently, mine would tend to come out ahead because most others just didn't give a damn about even doing a mediocre job.

Where I'm at now, the other person in my department is quite competent, so I don't mind at all working with him.

Depends on the job really. I used to work in a dry cleaners and everything I had to do in there was so mind-numbingly simple that having someone to talk to was great. In my current job where I often need to actually think about what I'm doing I hate distractions. It always seems like I'm on the cusp of solving a particularly vexing problem when someone interrupts me with something that is WAY down my list of priorities.
