Adul, you are absolutly right - I don't care how hard my systems get raped. Like many members here, I have AMD and Intel systems. What chaps my ass however is when members spread blatant lies about any platform/hardware, especially 'senior' board members who should and would know better if the amount of knowledge they had was any correlation to their number of post. Just as Anand is held to a higher standard, so I feel 'senior' or 'elite' board members should be. Just as the vast majority of readers will simply take Anand's word for it, many will take the senior's word for it. That I feel is the real 'BS'.

I've pretty much came down to the idea that any system chassis owned by me will allways be slower than the equilvant chassis owned by someone else.. So getting into a peein' match with someone is a little pointless.
My only real reqirements are one i can do a OS reinstall with little to no pain and two it runs office 2000, a browser and a few games here and there. Hell, i would still be using a p2 400, if i wouldn't ahve gotten my p3 so darn cheap. (and i had the itching to build somethign else, tis was winter, couldn't work on the car, so.....)

Hell i just think, at times, the &quot;vs&quot; theads are quite comical. It kinda of like telling my roomate that PPI car amps suck. All you have to do is say that and that boy goes nuts... He accually takes it personal. I've been doing car work for some time now, and either i'm dumb but i beleive that any well built amp sounds the same and works just as well, no matter who makes it. But of course PPI sounds better and performs better than all others!
I think a odd slant on the Placebo(sp) effect comes into play here quite nicely. You pay enought for it, of course its better, because you have to justify the cost, If i remember from Senior year Physc. class correctly, i hated physc. And i know there is a marketing term for it just don't want to get off my lazy a$$ and look it up
