<< That game makes you think about how crappy the pc is. >>

I disagree... The PC has graphics 10x as good as the PS2 has... We just don't have the dedicated developers like consoles do...

I don't want to start flaming but you're wrong :) The PC's bus system.... just sucks. Just look at the PS2 it has no power whatsoever but it's bus system is so wide that developers can almost do anything, move things wherever they want very fast... create advanced routines that moves huge amounts of data around that results in amazing looking games, the PC's bus can't handle that but our extremely powerful video cards has saved us a little bit but the bottleneck is starting to show.

Trust me, PCs win hands down. My GeForce 256 SDR could probably do GT3 at 640x480.

I really don't want to speculate about this.... but I don't think your Geforce 256 sdr can do GT3 in 640*480.

What I'm saying is that the PC's architecture is old and it's starting to show, without a very powerful video card it can't acomplish anything.

Give PC's about a year and I could build one that is better than a PS2 for the price of a PS2 and hard drive.

Of course who knows what a PS2 will cost then, but... :)

Oh, I'm pretty sure. A GeForce 256 could do over 10 million polys a second, and at 640x480 there is no worry of memory bottlenecks, so doing it wouldn't be a problem, expecially if they were to custom tailor it to my PC, just like GT3 is custom made for the PS2. Heck, with 32 megs of memory it could probably do it noticeably better.

The PS2 has anti-aliasing, so I think a Geforce SDR would choke on a game as detailed as GT3 in 640x480 with something like 4X AA...

Well ok, the AA might get it. But I doubt the PS2's AA is as good as 4x on a GeForce :)

Anyway we killed this topic now :D

Haribo is right. no pc can match the ps2. but i dont want to waste any time explaining it because you're probably going to disagree anyway
