I hope this thing hits south of me.

I cheacked the roof today and patched a few suspect areas, cleaned the yard up, I haven't put up plywood, i'll probably just tape up my windows anyway.

anyone else close to this thing?

If anything cool looking happens I'll try to post pics...if my house is still here!

9:30 AM....all is calm sky is grey,, I went out and got an extra gallon of milk and picked up my analog phone from the office.

here is a map of where I am...map of Pinellas county

It's headed straight for my childhood home (Pinellas County) which I don't live very far from. So if I seem like I'm posting a bit tipsy, you are right.

<--disturbed that people on the weather channel are reporting from my little beach town

Orlando - My workplace gave us the day off so we could take care of the family/house.

I wish I had the time and spare $$ to travel down to Florida... I've always wanted to be in the middle of a hurricane. (but, not right along the coast of course... I'm not suicidal)

If the winds get up over 130mph, my apartment complex has to evacuate.... And were about a 1.5 miles inland from the intercoastal.

Osceola and Orange have their schools closed tommorrow as I can imagine so does pretty much the entire area of Western Florida. I just got in from Orlando a few hours ago. My flight was heavily delayed due to other weather. I'm seriously considering telling my brother and his wife to evacuate. Some models prog 120mph over Orlando. Tampa could be seriously devastated if this thing hits directly with 130mph winds. It would cause massive flooding and damage. :( I hope it turns out to Sea. I *pray* that it is does.

Dude, stop trying to scare me! I will not die, and I will not evacuate! Tampa will still be standing after I kick Charley's a$s. If I don't post again after tomorrow, tell Julia Stiles I love her!
