I'm beginning to suspect that all these plea deals/flippers are part of a strategy that will do more damage to the state's case than help it. When the flippers' statements break down...or are retracted, it will really throw a monkey wrench into the prosecution's case. (sure, the ones who retract their statements will then be charged with their original bevy of charges...and/or more...but that's different than the case against Trump.

Gawd I hope I'm wrong.
I think you are a little apprehensive, it's understandable.

You have to remember though, alot of those people on the outside square of that bingo card. Probably cannot afford 100k plus attorney fees.

Those are the flippers.

Powell is an exception that proves the rule. She thinks Tang will get re-elected and save her. In her twisted mind. Because they want to destroy the Constitution, then Tang can pardon all federal or state because it will be the country of tang. No 50 states, maybe a few carved out that he don't like possibly.

EDIT, I'm saying Tang, because the old Orange Turd and others seem worn out. Plus the real Tang is great with vodka, maybe moonshine, possibly others.
Make no mistake my use of the word Tang, you could interpret it as 'Tang, use imagination. anyway will be an interesting week. With what kind of meltdowns happen.

IANAL but it's my understanding that as part of a deal like this you get the defendant to make a sworn statement in writing as to what they will testify. Then if they get called to the stand and say something else not only does the plea deal go away but you nail them for perjury, too. Like, you don't make this deal hoping they'll help you, you only make this deal if you know what their testimony will be beforehand.

Fani Willis is smart. She is going to verify what these people say in their depositions before the trial. If they testify there will be no surprises, and if there are, immediate perjury charges, in addition to retracting their plea agreement and taking them to trial/prison.
