Seriously, there's nothing better than a nice grey day on the Puget Sound, that soft drizzle when you get off the bus, that relaxed hibernation sensation when you go to work and it's raining and you come home when it's raining.

Of course, the question of whether I'd like that over, say, Northern California, is undetermined, but I think I MUCH prefer the PNW. NorCal is too dry, it NEVER rains, and it's entirely too bright.

You are a frigging tard! A nice sunny spring 70 degrees beats a shivery rainy gray 40 degrees any time!

And let's talk about WINE! You PacNW people think your wine is EVER going to approach California standards? Laughable!

I'm feeling orsorum. I love horrifyingly long rain drizzlestorms, but would miss the ridiculous severe weather we get here.

I live in the sunshine state, FUCK the sun. I really would like to trade with someone to live in the PNW.

Sun all the time, yuck. But NORTHERN California has nice seasons and weather. Admittedly too hot in the summer for sun, but unless it gets that hot there's no good reason to go jump in a lake and go swimming. And it takes heat to grow damn good grapes.

I like rain, but only small drizzles, and maybe only 1/3 of 1/4 of the time. PNW might have TOO much rain... but it is one of my top prospects for places to move to when I get a job.

Hate it. I lived there for 10 years and LOVE the people and the culture there, but had to leave due to the weather. When summer rain is COLD I have a problem.

to say that I love the rain would be an understatement.
I dunno, I was in Vancouver the other weekend and it was snowing.... I suspect you DON'T love the rain as much as you claim, if you were cheating on it with the snow!

I think that all melted away within a day. We don't get much snow here, which is probably a good thing.

I seriously really do like the rain. I like horrifyingly bad thunderstorms, where it rains 7 inches in an hour and there is 40 feet visibility like we get down here in the summer. None of that up there though.

I'd miss being able to tell my budz in the north to stuff it, I've got my air on for xmas.

I thought you had joined the Kahleeforneeya haters...;)

OP, some PNW weather is nice, but it depends on what part of the PNW you're in...I've seen 4 feet of snow on the ground in Spokane...and -30 temps as well. I know there are other parts of the state that get that...and more.

Youse Seattle-ites are just as bad about the weather as Kahleeforneeyans are...:p

We still have friends in Spokane and we LOVE calling them in January when it's colder than a well-digger's ass up there...and it's in the mid-60's (or more) here.

You know, it doesn't rain as much as people think. We do have plenty of grey days though. Kind of depressing. But where else can you drive minutes to the ocean, to the mountains, to a lake, to a forest, etc? We really have it very lucky up here..

Sheesh...it rains so much/so often in the Puget Sound regions that people grow webs in between their fingers and toes...:p

You're insane the weather sucks arse up there. After 15 years I had enough. You think you are ok with it but you have no idea how much you realize it sucked until you get out of it.

I was ok the first 4 years... I'm going on 8 now and going absolutely nuts. I can't WAIT to move back to my home area code.

I get sick of the dreary days, but at least when it's raining that mean's it's snowing in the mountains.

The weather is super mild. It barely gets cool in the winter (I just wear a single thin fleece) and it doesn't get hot in the summer.

Well, I'm off to bed so I can go snowboarding at Stevens Pass tomorrow.

You know, I used to hate it. I actually went to visit my sister in Hawaii for three months years back and at first, it was great. Loved the warm weather and the warm ocean but after awhile I just got bored of it. Even when it rained it was warm and humid. When I came back I flew into PDX and actually missed it. I love the fact we have all the seasons here.

I like the summers, and the smell after light rain, but that's about it. Too much rain and not enough snow.

I prefer snow over anything else. If it would snow all year long, I would be perfectly happy.

Unfortunately, right now we are getting screwed on snow where I live. There is just barely enough to run my snowmobile.

I actually enjoy the weather in the midwest and east coast. When the spectrum gets larger, life gets a bit more interesting.

Yeah, but how's your illegal immigrant problem? And I'll have you know it's a nice warm 29 today.

My favorite weather is when it snows .... we've gotten quite a bit of it over here in Northern IL the last couple of weeks. I am not a fan of the traffic that it tends to cause though ....
