Who else hates Daylight Savings Time?

Seriously. What is the point of it? It does NOT make the days longer, that's a physical impossibility. Your perception is just changed by having the clock an hour ahead so people can go "Oooh, it doesn't get dark until 10pm," when in reality it's still 9pm, our clocks are just off. Noon at 1pm is just downright creepy too.
And damnit, I hate losing an hour of sleep! 😛

I love daylight savings time. I get off work an hour earlier everyday, and then I get an extra hour of sunlight after work everyday that I can use to be outside.

more sunlight at night is worth the one lost hour.

It was originally started to converse oil during the summer months during WW2 i think.

The point of it is so that we don't sleep through a ton of daylight hours later in the summer. By late June the sun rises at 5:30 here; if we didn't do the daylight savings thing, then it'd be up at 4:30, and all that extra light would be wasted.

One more time.....

You could have gone to bed an hour earlier....or slept in an hour....no one says you had to lose an hour's sleep! GET OVER IT!

"Oooh, it's dark until 10pm"

Huh??

Why not make arrangements in the summer so you could go work an hour earlier and leave an hour earlier? It would be the exact same thing...

Why not do it how we do it now? It's been working fine for decades.

yeah i hate it myself. i had to change 4 fricken clocks! at least my computer and the digital cable box uptdated themselves.

but i do admit it is nice having light latter into the evening. I love sitting out on my porch and having a BBQ and having a few beers. 😛
