My dad just got shitcanned right before Chritmas at the Idaho National Labratory, how fun is that?
I guess the 16+ years he served there plus all the other time he did at Boeing wasn't enough for them. Over 25 years of engineering experience.
To add to it all they had to break it to him right before Christmas. He had to live with sitting there without telling me throughout the time I got to spend with him not telling me that he got canned because he didn't want to ruin Christmas for me.
The good thing is he has a ton of connections and friends now that will help him back on his feet. My guess is they cut all the higher salaried people because that's where they can save the most money.
