Who else buys used CDs?

I, like many of us, don't like paying $15 for a CD. So in the last couple months I've taken to buying my CDs used. You can get the same CD, in practically new condition for $4-7. Good deal if you ask me 🙂

Yep, and the best part is looking through heaps of music you wouldn't normally think of.
You never know when you might find your new favourite band.

I do, I'm almost limited to used CD's because they're so much a better deal. Usually I order through amazon(.co.uk)

wish i had time to go scrounging through piles of music...i do enjoy digging through the used DVD rack at Tower Records... dvd's are worth the time. music is not.

I buy used CDs all the time off of eBay or half.com. Almost every time I've bought a used CD its been in perfect condition. I think the best deal I've gotten is $0.51 for a Wallflowers CD on ebay 🙂

I buy used CDs sometimes .... though with shippung costs .. they usually come around to like 5 - 9 bucks a piece, unless i bid on like bulk lots on e$ay .. but then usually a bunch of the cds aro ones I already have, or are crap that I dont want.
Usually I buy new cds from places like redstreem, end records, southern lord, relapse, or dark symphonies ... CDs go for like 9 to 15 bucks at those places (with free shipping) And if Im looking for something out of print or hard to find, songsearch has an awesome selection (though prices are a bit steep)

Hrmm thats a good idea... Anyone know of any used cd places around the middle/northern NJ area? Maybe something on Route 22?

lol, thats what i say...

in the past i used to pick up used cds when i bought cds....back in the day.

*raises hand*

I do; all the time. We have this chain called "CD Trader" here in my city. (don't know if they're nation-wide).

All the CDs are used. They range in price from $6 to $12...mostly about $8-$9 or so. They are guaranteed not to be scratched and they have listening stations setup; CD players w/headphones. You can listen to the entire CD if you want to ensure it's not scratched before purchasing. 🙂

While it's unlikely you're going to find the latest stuff there, it's perfect for someone like me who mostly likes classic rock/metal anyway.

Me too. I still buy CD's of artists I choose to support, but for everything else, alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.<insert genre here>., is my best friend. 🙂

I found Master of Puppets for $6 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was like early '90s. I was ecstatic.
