Yea rusts like crazy here. You just bump it and it flakes all over. The tailgate is totally rusted through, you can't open it anymore or it will fall off.

Nice scenery. What happened to your antenna? :p

It's retractable, and bizarrely long (manual of course, you stick your hand out the window and laboriously extend it, and extend it, and extend it;)).

My radio/speakers/clock have since taken an enormous electronic dump (I'm guessing some wires have rubbed through and are shorting), so I don't have much of a use for it ;)

My second car/beater is an 89 dodge caravan turbo. Its has paint falling off it everywhere, rusted out 1/4 panels, and the interior is pretty filthy from hauling trash and dogs everywhere but its actually in great shape mechanically.

I just junked out a '91 Dakota that was so rusted that it rained inside when it rained outside. The roof was so rusted that the windshield busted in two places just from driving it down the road.

I replaced it with my gas hog '98 F150 4X4 OFF ROAD with 115K mi., luckily I only drive it once a week, maybe.

(Sorry about the size, but you can't really get the full effect if it's not full size :p)

That's my 1981 Dodge Ram D150. That picture is when I first got it about 8 or so months ago. Since then, she's gone a little more (cosmetically, at least) downhill. At one point, both tail lights were missing and the passenger seat was so filled with crap from being parked and used as storage, you could hardly see in it.

Am I proud? Oh yeah...you bet.

SonicIce, how's the gas mileage in that puppy? :)

My uncle had a 250 crew cab of similar vintage with two gas tanks. When he floored it with the camper on the back, you could actually SEE the gas gauge move. We used to count as he passed cars on the highway: "One gallon... two gallons... three gallons... he passed him!... four gallons... back in the right lane!" Tough truck, though.

unless of course.. someone in virginia had a welder and a cutter and shes a fevvy. you know, chevy powered ford.

Yea it's a 351 Windsor, not 350. First post was a typo.

Gas mileage sucks as you can imagine. 8mpg maybe less. I try not to floor it because it will burn oil for one thing.

Also, front gas tanks leaks, passenger door won't open, one window busted out in the back, heater core leaks so I drive with windows down in winter, rear-view mirror fell off, tires leak, engine won't warm itself up in winter unless you sit there and pump the pedal, brakes went out but we fixed that, and it smells terrible. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. Can you believe it passed emissions though? Engine and trans seems to be in great shape for the most part.

How'd you like our Ohio snow storm? I put it to good use :) but the following hot days made short work of it :(.

Lol yeah I had one of those, and it wasn't even one of the fast ones like yours. It was simply a pile of useless shit.

Nothing compares to the Daihatsu I had - a miniature 850cc inline-3, 40hp, 5 door K-car. 1988 model.
More rust than paint, coolant leakage everywhere (I filled up 100cc of water per 50km...), suspension long gone, seats as comfy as a brick and more.
That car had..."personality" ;)

I now have a 1993 Citroen ZX.

I never owned this car but my parents did in Poland, it basically wins this thread. It was nicknamed the "moving coffin" in Poland. I remember driving in it with someone and we had the front seats taken out and drove it from the back seat.
