Who did the casting for this movie?

At first I thought this was about the new Hannibal Lecter movie lol.

A movie on Hannibal would be cool...except not with Vin Diesel.
 
I can't help but imagine elephant drag racing or someone saying "Convert now, or fall forever." All happening in a dark enviornment, of course.

Yeah, Hannibal was a pretty impressive general, would love to see a really good movie about him. I can't imagine how bad a Vin Diesel produced and directed version might be though.

I liked Chronicles of Riddick which he produced and starred in but not directed but hey, maybe it will turn out good
 
I think that Mr. Diesel could physically pass for a Carthagian with a little makeup. Weren't they Phoenicians afterall?

his best role was in Pitch Black because he hardly talked and his character had no emotion.

Compared to who? Arnold? Stallone? He is an action star.
I think he has done a great job in everything he has been in.
No one likes Tom Cruise but I think he is a great actor.
 
Cool, General Hannibal portrayed with a heavy New York accent and limited language skills; doesn't get any better than that.
 
Well... they did manage to kick him off of the Hitman movie. He was originally slated to play Agent 47. I guess all those internet petitions actually did something. The current guy I think will do better but they should have gotten Jason Statham.
Maybe if enough people whine the studios will kick him off this one too.
