The suggested serving for Total cereal is freaking 3/4ths of a cup - hell, the bowl on the front of the box looks at least 2-3 times more than that. What gives, and who actually only eats 3/4ths of a cup of cereal in the morning?

I know. On the back of the small bags of chips, it says stuff like "Servings per bag: 2.5" Who can get 2.5 servings out of one tiny bag of chips? Or on cans of nuts it says "Serving Size: 9 nuts."

That's why I've always thought Total's commercials were stupid. I'll just take a vitamin and eat whatever cereal I want, thanks. Otherwise I'd be getting at least 2-3 times my RDA of everything.

 Exactly. Ever looked at a coke bottle? The formally 20oz one? They did the suggested serving juuuust right so that the calories would be 100. Its like 2.5 servings per bottle hah.

a "serving" doesn't mean a meal.

On that food pyramid thing, they say eat like 10 servings of carbohydrates in a day.
If there's three meals, that means like 3 or 4 servings is enough for one meal.

Your mom sets your serving size. Now eat up! "You're getting skinny! You know there's starving kids somewhere who'd love to be eating this..." :D
