Unlocking a socket a processor is no problem. But try hard modding it to a different multiplier. Those bridges can be near impossible to cut. Razor blades are dulled. Even glass cutters are troublesome. Good old Dremel to the rescue again, along with a diamond coated steel cutting bit. It sliced right through the bridges in a second or so. Then used the conductive pen and patched the correct traces. The 750 Tbird now boots thinking it's a 550. Why do this?
Basically, a processor will try to boot at its default multiplier before the BIOS takes over. If it can't boot at 7.5x133, it won't even POST. hard modding it to 5.5 means that it'll boot at only 5.5x133 - then it can be OC'd - it is now unlocked too. :D
So, I managed to cut a few golden bridges and patch them in around 10 minutes. Make a 200FSB processor boot reliably at 266FSB.:D
I'll accept any award nominations at this point; well, good ones anyway.

Yes I know this has probably been done before, but it's really cool to do it and have it work on the first try!
