Hillary could shoot someone point blank walking down 5th avenue in NY, and I'd still vote for Hillary.
I mean seriously.... remember the alternative?

And there we have it folks. no matter what democrats do, you sheep will follow.

Oh, for goodness' sake. Please grow up.

Democrats are not all mindless sheep. Republicans are not all mindless sheep, either. But Sportage wasn't saying that out of blind devotion, even if it shouldn't have been said. It's because Trump is incompetent, racist, sexist, egocentric and petty. Clinton, as flawed as she is, is a bastion of competence (adequacy, maybe?), compassion and humility by comparison.

None of the above....

include the option for 3rd party vote and you'll probably get a more accurate picture of the situation... at least as much as the narrow slice of Anandtech readers as a segment of the voting population will allow.

Republicans have never trumpers... Any democrats never Clintons? nope don't see any of those.

Clinton has no compassion, look at all the women she tried to destroy over the years after her husband assaulted them. Humility? you must be kidding. Competence? where? Hiding emails? Resetting relations with Russia? Libya? maybe her Syrian mission to start WIII?

Let's say the roles were reversed where Trump was a Democrat and Hillary was a Repub. Based purely on character and qualifications, would Trump still be a "better" choice for those who think he is at this time?

IMO, Trump still stinks a whole lot worse than Hillary no matter what party he would (theoretically) belong to.

If logic and common sense were to rule the day and the election was non-partisan, the choice would be glaringly obvious, wouldn't it?

You're just parroting the talking points of Trump/Breitbart/Infowars. Please think independently.

Clinton will actually protect LGBT rights, push for greater equality for women and work toward eliminating the steep costs of college. That's compassion. Humility is relative -- it's that Clinton doesn't act like she's a divine gift to humanity and is willing to hear people say "no" to her. That just doesn't happen with Trump. Competence means knowing how politics actually work, and willingly assuming the full responsibilities of President. Trump has made grand promises that are genuinely impossible to keep ("we'll build the wall and make Mexico pay for it") and will delegate most real responsibilities to Pence if he takes office.

Do I think Clinton has all the answers, or is spotless? Hell no. But I've weighed the merits of both major candidates and decided that I prefer an experienced politician who respects women and minorities, has a cool head and sets vaguely realistic goals. Real life includes nuance, subtlety and compromise; I wish you'd see that.
