I wear my slippers around the house constantly in the winter months, and my most recent pair had a blowout in the side. I need something warm, easy to get on and off, but not necessarily a slip-on with no back to them. And I don't want a real hard bottom - I wake up before my wife and we have hardwood flooring in the bedroom. The hard rubber bottoms make too much noise on the floor and tend to wake her up. Anyone have a good suggestion? A certain type you just can't live without?

I've been on the look out also but can't find any that have a closed back and are size 13.

Seems the cut off is always size 12.

if you can, get the tempurpedic slippers. they ROCK on hardwood floors. They are somewhat hard bottomed but make no noise.

brookstone if you wanna get gouged, 50 bucks I think. Try ebay/amazon?

That said, I've had these slippers for like 5 years. No damage, perfect condition.

Try Big 5 is you have one in your area. They usually have nice sheepskin-lined slippers on sale for about $20.

Other places would include Land's End, L.L. Bean, Eddie Bauer, and those places, but you're looking at MUCH more than $20.

I can't wear slippers that have synthetic linings in them. They make my feet stink, no matter what I do. Natural wool wicks the moisture away from your feet, and they don't stink. I've tried all kinds of other linings, and they all make my feet smell worse than ass...so the slippers hit the trash can within a couple of weeks.
