Hi, all
.
Today, I got an iPod (20GB, black and white screen, I couldn't tell you what generation it is, it's the first time I held one
) from a friend of mine. He told me it was broken (he didn't tell me how), and I could keep it, because he'd get an 80GB version this Christmas anyway (he's rich
). Well, I started it up, and it displays the apple icon, followed by a folder with an exclamation mark. I don't know what that means, but I thought someone here might.
I don't have any stuff for it, and I'm not rich, but if you think it's fixable, I'm willing to get some stuff for it. My budget is ?15, because that's all I have. I also have ~$4 in my PayPal, so that's all the reward I can give to a potential problem-solver.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: If the problem-solver would need something photoshopped (don't ask me to code, a monkey with two fingers on crack cocaine can code better than me), I'd be more than willing to do that.

Yeah, he went to an apple store with it, but it's out of warranty, and he thought they asked too much..
