who can complete minesweeper?

the 10x10 is easy. My best time is around 25 seconds. I've never completed the next size, but I suspect someone has discovered a technique to win most of the time.

my best score on expert is 119 on this computer, but I've been sub-110 a few times. Work is boring... minesweeper is addicting... Fingers and eyes hurt...... gaahhhhhhhhh.........

My best times:

Beginner: 6 Seconds
Intermediate: 36 Seconds
Expert: 98 Seconds

Seriously. I was horribly addicted to the game my freshman year of college.

And yes, I know I am a huge dork and should have been out partying and drinking. Whatever.

i was so addicted to this game that i would insist on having the top score on each level on all my friends computers.

Just did the Easy level in 13 secs. If you flag the mines, you can utilize the left click + right click technique which clears all spots in a 9 by 9 area, excluding the flagged boxes.

On expert, make about 7-10 spread out guesses before attempting to solve it. I only bother doing the ones where a decent amount of open space gets revealed. I would rather take risky guesses right at the beginning than waste several minutes solving the puzzle only to reach a point where I'm forced to guess again.

I don't remember my times - starting up again would be a very bad idea.

Sometimes though, if you are going for pure speed, you only want medium-sized open areas. When you get the really big open areas, that means all the mines are packed into a small area, which is very slow to work through. I would much rather have a large number of small blank areas, thats much faster.

xyzzy shift+enter will help uout pay attention to the top left screen u will see a white dot when its clear or black when a bomb is there
