I've been posting here a little while and was just curious. How many are there? Are these people Anand chose or hired? Are they hired? Volunteered? People who run the servers? Again just curious...
 
They are a secret society similar to the Masons. I would suggest that you cease your inquiries. Several people who asked have mysteriously vanished.

I thought he was kidding... Why would they not want you to know? I wouldn't think it would really matter to them.. That's why I asked.

as for knowing it for a fact, some of the former mods (I believe even a mod made this statement durring one argument) that all mods were volunteers, who had been and still were regular members of this forum.

I find it funny that so many people think they have it all figured out. One example, is who says they are just other forum members? All speculation. I'm sure if Anand wanted us to know, then we would. The only one I ever suspected was Red Dawn. 🙂
