Who Are Jews for Jesus? what do they believe in?

There is a place near school that is Jews For Jesus (established 42 A.D. Give or take a year)

does anyone know anything about them? how can they believe in Jesus as a prophet ( 🙂 ), but still be jewish?

just wondering, not asking for a debate

Psst, it's prophet 😉

My understanding is that they believe Jesus is the Messiah, but they hold to traditional Jewish practices like the observence of Passover.

Jews believe that there is a Messiah coming. These people believe he has. Otherwise, I think they are pretty much the same.

Jesus was jewish, and there are jews who believe in Him, they just did not convert to Christianity. Some hold to the Old Testament laws, others obide by the new testament.

I remember seeing that group near a crappy school called UCLA. I was thinking about asking them but I didn't feel like being in the shadow of such a horrid school that long so I quickly picked up my DiddyReese cookies and left

Chaching. Jews for Jesus often will visit local churches on Passover and teach on the Seder, or come speak on their beliefs. By and large they're welcomed by the Christian community as having a kinship in belief with just a difference in ethnic heritage and tradition.
